Just recently, Elabram Systems Group in Indonesia (PTES)
visited the Panti Sosial Bina Remaja “Taruna Jaya” Jakarta which is
located at Tebet, South Jakarta for Elabram Monthly Charity Event and ttended
by Stephanie, Vinne and Dani, which took place in the afternoon of that
wonderful day. Ibu Nurlaela from the said organization accompanied PTES.
Panti Sosial Bina Remaja “Taruna Jaya” Jakarta
is a government managed orphanage
and established in 1985 and can accommodate up to 100 kids but right now only
with 40 kids and composed of 17 staff members. The orphanage is teaching the
kids the right conduct, basic education and that includes good hygiene.
They usually take kids off the streets and give them proper
skills (non-formal education) so that they can start their life better once
they are out from the orphanage. Some jobs that these kids got after spending
time at the orphanage includes; Installation of Computer Hardware,
Hairdressing, Technician, Auto Mechanic and the like.
The orpahanage accommodate the kids for one year and after
that with skills, they will let them go. Usually these kids and adults ages
ranges from 16 years old up to 25 years olds.
